Devon Clocks Ltd., England, mystery clock, design based on John Schmidt's 1808 patent "The Mysterious Circulator or Chronological Equilibrium", the pivoted indicator with a pointer on one end, and the larger cylinder at the other containing the movement with revolving weights, all suspended between two gilt mermaid form supports, Roman numeral silvered chapter ring, on a green marble base with ball feet, base with brass plaque marked "Devon Clocks Ltd. 134/1500, c1980
